Cecil Spracklin Memorial Scholarship

 

This scholarship is in honor of the late Mr. Cecil Spracklin, who was a founding member and the first Cormack Fire Chief in March of 1975.  His legacy continues through his family, since his time on the department he has had two grandsons that have been Fire Chiefs. Also sons, son-in-laws, grandsons, daughters, grandaughters that have been members of either the fire department or firettes.  Mr. Spracklin passed away December 25, 2010, but he will always be part of this department.

 
Donors to the Scholarship include the Cormack Volunteer Fire Department and Cormack Town Council.

Value: $500.00

Criteria:

Awarded annually to a full time student from Cormack (high school or post secondary). The scholarship will be awarded on overall performance and financial need. Grade 12 students must submit official transcripts of final marks to date. First year post secondary student must submit official transcript of their first semester marks in post secondary school and an official transcript of high school marks. Students who cannot obtain official transcripts by the deadline may submit a copy of marks and forward official transcripts when they are received. Official transcripts are required for verification. Students must also submit a 500 word essay describing their community involvement, volunteer, and work experience.
