Minutes of Regular Meeting January 13, 2011

Meeting called to order at 7:45pm

There were no delegates at the meeting.

Administration

Resolution 011-002             Alexander / Rideout J.  3 for, 0 Opposed, carried.

Resolved to give the Tracey Hewitt, Town Clerk a raise of .50/hr and Caretaker, Geraldine Hewitt, a raise of .25/hr.

Resolution 011-003          Rideout J. / Alexander        3 For, 0 Opposed, carried.

Resolved to make Geraldine Hewitt part-time town assistant along with her duties as Caretaker.

Resolution 011-004          Alexander / Rideout J.        3 For, 0 Opposed, Carried

Resolved to forgive fifty percent of interest on accounts paid in full that are in arrears up to March 31, 2011.

Fire Department

Councilor Rideout updated the councilors on the past activities of the Fire Department.

<                    The Fire Departments bank balance as of November, 2010 $ 15,756.00

<                    The firemen’s ball will be held on February 19, 2011

<                    The funds raised in the upcoming toll booth in April will be used to purchase new uniforms for the members.

<                    The Fire Department held their election of officers in January. The results are as follows:

<                    William Balsam was elected as Deputy Fire Chief

<                    Alphonse Keefe, Cory Spracklin, and Derrick Spracklin were elected as Captains

<                    Terri Robyn Spracklin was elected as Treasurer

<                    Alphonse Keefe was elected as Secretary

 

 

Resolution 011-006   Rideout / Alexander 3 For, 0 Opposed, Carried.

Resolved to reappoint Chris Foster as Fire Chief of the Cormack Volunteer Fire Department.

Resolution 011-007          Alexander / Rideout J. 3 For, 0 Opposed, Carried

Resolved to accept the amendments in the Constitution and By-Laws of the Fire Department.
